On April 13th, The weekly trials in ARC Raiders are now live. These trials refresh every week, and completing them rewards you with extra loot - including valuable Blueprints. One particularly important objective among these trials is eliminating ARC enemies within Swamp zone.
Curious how to eliminate ARC enemies quickly and easily, boost your Star Rating, and secure Epic-level loot?
It requires a bit of strategy - including, but not limited to, understanding the unique terrain features of Swamp, being selective about which ARC enemies you engage, and skillfully tackling other concurrent objectives.
If that sounds interesting to you, read on!
Where is Swamp?
Weekly Trials typically point you toward a specific general area but rarely provide precise navigation details, and "Swamp" task is no exception.
Some players have complained in community forums that their mission progress remains stalled - no matter how many ARC enemies they kill - likely because they aren't actually situated within designated Swamp zone.
In reality, Swamp is located in the southwestern sector of Dam Battlegrounds map. It comprises three distinct sub-locations, all of which count toward your weekly challenge objectives. Many players have already created and shared detailed maps of this area within the community.
Since spawn rate of ARC enemies in Arc Raiders is tied to their proximity to the player, you can significantly accelerate their respawn rate - and thus complete the mission much faster - by constantly rotating between these three locations rather than simply camping out in one spot.
How to efficiently eliminate ARC enemies?
To complete mission as quickly as possible, now is clearly not the time to test your limits against the toughest foes. Therefore, prioritizing smaller, easier-to-kill enemies over larger, more formidable ones is a smart strategy.
You should also prioritize targeting "Rocketeers" and "Leapers," as they yield the highest point values.
To maximize your kill efficiency, you'll need a right Arc Raiders Items. Based on in-game data and community discussions, if your goal is stable, low-risk mission completion, Anvil or Renegade weapons are excellent choices.
If you're aiming for maximum speed and high damage output, Hullcracker is an excellent choice.
Be warned, though: due to the game's mechanics, other players can potentially loot your weapons if you fall in battle. If you aren't confident in your PvP skills, you might want to think twice before bringing high-value gear into the fray. If you do decide to use it, proceed with extreme caution and do your best to avoid other players.
Other weapons can be just as effective; sometimes, simply sticking with the weapon you know and are most comfortable using is the best strategy of all.
How do you earn all three stars?
By achieving a three-star rating in Weekly Trials, you can earn Epic-level loot rewards - which may even include blueprints.
To better prepare for the upcoming Riven Tides update - specifically to acquire more powerful weapons and stockpile sufficient blueprints - it is essential for every player to aim for a three-star rating in Weekly Trials.
To earn all three stars, you must score 4,000 points in each of five weekly trials. This week, the five trials are:
Destroy ARC enemies in Swamp (Dam Battlegrounds), Get hit by lightning (Electromagnetic Storm), Damage Bastions, Search Supply Drops, and Damage Comets.
In Swamp mission, you earn points for every ARC enemy you eliminate; therefore, skillfully and swiftly taking them down will help you complete this specific task quickly, allowing you to devote more energy to the other trials.
Tips for other trials:
Beyond the crucial task of eliminating ARC enemies in Swamp, strategies for the other trials can also be found within the player community.
For instance, to complete "Damage Bastions" trial, you will need to equip some decent ARC Raiders gear. Since Bastions are characterized by their high defensive capabilities, it is best to bring along your heavy weapons and explosives.
Additionally, you should know that their weak points are located at the yellow joints on their legs or the energy canisters on their backs. You can utilize the terrain features of Stella Montis to target these specific weak points.
As for eliminating the fast-moving "Comets," it is best to use long-range weapons, such as an Anvil or Renegade. This is because if they get too close, they will inflict massive damage to you; by attacking them from a distance, you can effectively avoid this risk.
The wildest - and arguably most entertaining - trial involves getting yourself struck by lightning. Furthermore, to achieve full 4,000 points for this challenge, you must be struck by lightning multiple times.
However, before the lightning strikes, a flashing blue circle will appear on the ground to serve as a warning to players. All you need to do is have some healing supplies ready, step into the blue circle zone in advance, and wait to be struck.
To quickly complete "Search Supply Drops" trial, you can enter a map currently under a "Map Condition" (special event status) and call in an airstrike; this allows you to simply wait for Supply Drop to arrive with ease.
The above covers the tips and strategies for quickly completing Swamp trial and the other challenges, helping you successfully achieve that coveted three-star rating. If you also want to score Epic-level loot - or even blueprints - then give it a try right now!
