FRecently, at PAX Australia, Borderlands 4 announced its post-launch roadmap and upcoming features, including the seasonal event Terrors of Kairos, Bounty Pack 1, and the endgame Invincible Boss.
In the coming days, you'll be able to experience the surprises Borderlands 4 has in store for players. Are you ready for a feast of surprises?

Terrors Of Kairos
While other Borderlands games have featured seasonal events, Terrors of Kairos is the first limited-time seasonal event for BL4. During the event, Terrors of Kairos mini-event will allow players to explore the world of Kairos, encountering and battling world bosses along the way.
This event will feature blood-soaked visuals, rare loot drops, and limited-edition cosmetics. During the event, the chaotic world of Kairos will be transformed into an eerie paradise filled with terrifying weather effects.
Terrors of Kairos event will run for two weeks, starting on October 23, 2025, and ending on November 6. During the event, all players can participate for free, with no additional DLC required.
During Terrors of Kairos event, each World Boss encounter has a chance to trigger a disturbing Blood Rain effect.
If you are just starting out on your adventure, it is highly recommended that you buy Borderlands 4 Money to obtain weapons that will enhance your gaming experience and help you quickly build your build. This will ensure a good early-game experience and ensure you don't miss out on these special events.
New Legendary Gear And Cosmetic Rewards
In addition to the overhauled visuals, World Bosses will also drop limited-edition Legendary loot that aligns with the event's terrifying theme.
Lootable items include:
- Legendary Tediore Assault Rifle, Murmur. Murmur deals 100% critical damage to targets below 35% health and can instantly finish off weakened enemies.
- Legendary Order Grenade, Skully. Skully, a ghostly explosive, can automatically home in on enemies during combat and unleash a deadly projectile before detonating.
Once you successfully spawn these two event-exclusive items from world bosses, they'll be automatically sent to Reward Center under Equipment section of your inventory, ensuring you don't miss out on these weapons.
Besides combat rewards, Borderlands 4 also offers two exclusive cosmetics for all players. Players interested can redeem SHiFT codes to obtain them.
Rewards include:
- Gourd Your Loins. This is a Halloween-themed decorative Vault Hunter Head for the four Vault Hunter characters: Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe.
- Hex Appeal. This is a simple, boldly colored weapon skin that can be applied to all weapon types in the game.
To keep players coming back for more throughout the season, this event will feature temporary world changes and special loot designs. Furthermore, future DLC will bring even more exciting gameplay surprises.
New DLC: How Rush Saved Mercenary Day
Following closely behind Terrors of Kairos is the paid DLC, How Rush Saved Mercenary Day, releasing on November 20th.
As BL4's first Bounty Pack, How Rush Saved Mercenary Day will bring you into the festive spirit and introduce a new storyline for Kairos, along with new gear and collectible cosmetics.
Additionally, there's a Vault Card, a battle pass that unlocks additional loot in the game.
Vault Cards contain new rewards you can unlock through gameplay, including 24 cosmetic items and four rerollable pieces of gear. Rerollable gear can be earned repeatedly in subsequent playthroughs, allowing you to build the perfect gear at your own pace.
The following are the rewards for completing Bounty Pack 1 Vault Card:
- 4 rerollable weapons
- 4 Vault Hunter Heads for Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe
- 4 Vault Hunter Skins, also for Vault Hunters

- 2 ECHO-4 Attachments
In addition to the items listed above, you can also receive additional rewards in Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 1:

Digirunner Vehicle becomes available after starting the first main quest. Vault Hunter Skins and ECHO-4 Drone Skin are available only after defeating the boss and completing the final Bounty Pack 1 main quest.
Bloomreaper The Invincible And Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode
As the first endgame Invincible boss in BL 4, Bloomreaper the Invincible will be added free to the game and has quickly become a highlight of the endgame. You can invest Borderlands 4 money and other resources to train your Vault Hunter to face powerful enemies.
Bloomreaper the Invincible isn't truly invincible, but it does possess incredibly large health, a near-lethal damage stat, and new modifiers that can cause a significant drop in health.
It's best to prepare thoroughly before taking on this boss, as you can continually adjust your gear, skill points, and more. However, be aware that acquiring more suitable gear or resetting your skill points will test your Borderlands money reserves.
In addition to the endgame Invincible boss, new Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode levels will be released in December. These new enemies and levels will allow you to push your limits and reach even higher levels of difficulty in Borderlands 4.
From the limited-time Terrors of Kairos event to the festive Bounty Pack 1, to the ultimate endgame boss and difficulty mode, BL4 continues to ignite player excitement with its rich content.
Whether you're looking to collect limited-edition gear or challenge your power to the pinnacle, the upcoming updates will satisfy your expectations. Get ready to pick up your weapons and continue Vault Hunter legend in a chaotic and thrilling adventure.
