Grow a Garden has garnered millions of active users with its easy-to-use farm simulation gameplay and idle game mechanics - an incredible achievement for an indie game. Players' intense curiosity is largely thanks to the developers' consistent updates, including weekly additions of pets, seeds, and more.
On November 8th, GaG released a new event, expanding the popular Safari Harvest into Mega Safari Harvest, bringing a series of highly anticipated gameplay optimizations. If you want to know what new content the developers have prepared for players, then read on.
Event Basic Information
Mega Safari Harvest event began on November 8th at 5 AM PT, following the previous event format and providing players with a familiar game experience. The focus of this update is the addition of new Grow a Garden items, including long-awaited new seeds and pets.
New Seed Pack
Exotic Safari Seed Pack is one surprise in this Mega Safari Harvest. The package includes six limited-time seeds: Daisy, Bamboo, Amberfruit Shrub, Castor Bean, Java Banana, and Peacock Tail.
These seeds, with their unique designs inspired by real-world vegetation and natural landscapes, make you eagerly anticipate their growth in Grow a Garden.
The chance of obtaining these seeds vary when opening seed packs. Daisy seed has the highest drop rate at 40%, decreasing sequentially, with the most rare Peacock Tail seed having a drop rate of only 0.5%.
New Items Added To The Shop
This Mega Safari Harvest also includes new gear in the shop. These Grow a Garden items with special effects will provide players with a novel gaming experience.
Ancestral Horn
A Mythical-level item that summons Spirit of the Savanna to assist you. This Spirit will detect if there are any plants in the garden that do not yet have a Safari-themed mutation. If so, it will grant the plant the Safari mutation; otherwise, it will inform you that there are no plants that need mutation.
Cheetah Pendant
An uncommon-level item that grants you considerable speed in Grow a Garden for 30 seconds. There's a chance to trigger a Wildfast mutation when collecting fruit, similar to items like Vampire Fang, allowing you to transform into an animal.
RC Safari Jeep
A Legendary-level item that allows players to freely explore a Garden with a Jeep. This item, offering a unique gameplay experience, is a popular choice in Mega Safari Harvest.
Safari Obelisk Charm
Similar in effect to Safari Totem Charm, it summons four new Safari weather events added in this expansion, giving you a significant advantage in the game.
New Pets
Pets are probably the most anticipated part of GAG. Mega Safari Harvest introduces six unique pets that can greatly impact your garden, helping you gain extra harvests and other bonuses. Surely one of these new pets will appeal to you.
Hyena
Currently, Hyena is probably one of the most powerful pets. Each Hyena added to your garden grants you bonus XP, but this requires at least one non-Hyena pet in the garden. Multiple Hyenas working together create a powerful group bonus.
Furthermore, since Hyenas are only uncommon level pets, building a team that can quickly increase XP is not difficult.
Gecko
Gecko increases the variant chance of nearby Safari plants. Compared to Hyena, Gecko's effect is not as outstanding, but it might come in handy if future events related to Safari plants are introduced in Grow a Garden.
Cape Buffalo
Cape Buffalo is a pet with the ability to copy. It has a chance to copy all harvestable plants, with a higher chance of copying Safari-type plants, functioning similarly to Stegosaurus.
Hippo
It can gain extra Sheckles by eating watermelons, has a chance to return seeds, and can also trigger Monsoon mutations. However, as a Legendary-level pet, its abilities don't match its level, and hopefully it will be strengthened in future updates.
Crocodile
Crocodile will randomly bite a plant or a pet. While bitten, the plant's growth rate is greatly increased, and the pet gains a large amount of experience per second. Such a powerful pet is sure to be desired by every player.
Lion
Lion's Lion Call ability provides advanced cooldown to your pets and summons them. King of the Safari can inflict random Safari mutations on fruits in the garden.
With so many pets introduced, surely one will meet your needs. These companions provide assistance far beyond the duration of GaG Mega Safari Harvest event, creating better conditions for your future gameplay.
Whether it's collecting new seeds, unique Grow a Garden items, or chasing powerful pets, Mega Safari Harvest injects new vitality into the game while retaining its core gameplay.
The familiarity and ease of use of this gameplay can attract players to start playing, while continuous innovation will retain more veteran players and increase game stickiness. Players can also continuously build their own gardens in this harmonious atmosphere, creating a world that better matches their vision.
