The exciting day is almost here! Helldivers 2 Exo Experts Warbond launches tomorrow. Whether you're a new player or a veteran, don't miss this event.
Time's running out! If you're not yet familiar with Exo Experts Warbond, no worries, I'll introduce you to its core features, including new exosuits, new arsenals, new armors and appearances, and more.
Without further ado, let's get started!
New Exosuits
You definitely can't miss these two exosuits: EXO-51 Lumberer and EXO-55 Breakthrough.
EXO-51 Lumberer
The first is EXO-51 Lumberer. If you're a veteran Helldivers 1 player, you'll be eagerly anticipating it, as it's a classic from Helldivers 1.
If you're a new player, don't worry, I'll give you a brief introduction to this exosuit, which has received high praise from veteran players.
First, EXO-51 Lumberer's classic feature is its extremely powerful left-hand configuration: an Anti-tank Cannon in its right hand and a Flamethrower in its left. This all-out firepower combination is incredibly strong in the current game.
Why? Because Arrowhead changed the effect of all Flamethrowers: continuous burning of enemies inflicts a Panic state. Enemies in a Panic state not only stop attacking but also run around aimlessly. At this point, you can use Anti-tank Cannon to quickly eliminate them.
This combo of controlling the enemy first and then finishing them off was impossible with previous Jaegers.
EXO-55 Breakthrough
The second is EXO-55 Breakthrough, a Tank-type exosuit.
This exosuit has a huge Ballistic Shield on its left arm, which appears to offer formidable defensive capabilities. However, when you press the melee button, this exosuit doesn't just block attacks like other exosuits; instead, it thrusts forward, slamming the shield and sending enemies flying.
Its right arm is equipped with a Flak Cannon. While its specific function is still unknown, I expect it to have strong enough armor penetration to penetrate medium and even heavy armor.
I know that many players are unhappy because the previous two exosuits, Patriot and Emancipator, were free to obtain, while these two are added to Exo Experts Warbond requiring a certain amount of Helldivers 2 Super Credits.
But it seems Arrowhead won't change their decision. Fortunately, both exosuits are very powerful and definitely worth having.
New Weapons
In addition to exosuits, Helldivers 2's Exo Experts Warbond also adds various individual weapons and equipment to adapt to different combat scenarios.
MGX-42 Bullet Storm
The first is MGX-42 Bullet Storm. Its unique feature is that it's a Disposable Machine Gun. It has 300 rounds of ammunition, and once those are used up, it's unusable. But don't worry, you can get two more by calling in the Strategem.
Another interesting point: if you're interested in the game's story, you'll notice that its ammunition is Caseless Ammunition, extremely cheap to produce. This setting clearly fits the "low-cost, high-efficiency" style of Super Earth in the game's universe, making the player feel more immersed.
SMG-203 Gallant
The second is SMG-203 Gallant. We know that there's already an MP-98 Knight submachine gun in the game, but it only has Light Armor Penetration and can't penetrate Medium Armors.
SMG-203 Gallant, however, has a stronger Armor Penetration effect, making it powerfully effective against Medium Armors.
However, it has two limitations. First, its magazine capacity may be reduced from 50 rounds to around 30 rounds. Second, it's two-handed. This means that when using it, you can't hold a Ballistic Shield or Secondary Objective Item in your other hand like you would with a single-handed submachine gun.
However, it comes with devices you might need to hold in your other hand, such as a flashlight, laser light, and reflex sight, so you don't need to worry too much about that.
P-33 Missile Pisto
The third is P-33 Missile Pisto, a Secondary Weapon, and it's very small. But don't underestimate it because of this, as it has an extremely rare feature: Tracking and Lock-on. With it, you can confidently lock onto an enemy and fire; the missile will automatically aim at the enemy and then fire.
Such a powerful weapon will likely be subject to some limitations, but we don't know yet. Perhaps it only has one round of ammunition?
Even with some limitations, these three weapons are absolutely worth owning, and even unmissable. Get ready for Helldivers 2 Super Credits, Exo Experts Warbond starts tomorrow!
New Armor and Appearances
Helldivers 2 Exo Experts Warbond will also offer two new Armor sets, sharing the same brand-new Armor Passive, Oxygenator.
The official explanation for Oxygenator is: "It slightly speeds up your Walk, Run, and Slide, while fully complying with SuperEarth's health and safety standards." In short, it increases movement speed.
Some people find this ability meaningless, while others find it useful. I think if you need to do missions that require frequent location changes, Oxygenator will be quite valuable.
There are also some new appearances, including two Capes and two Player Banners, a new Player Title called "Mobile White", and new color schemes that can be sprayed onto FRVs, Shuttles, Exosuits, and Hellpods, making your game look cooler.
That's the core content of Exo Experts Warbond. Which one are you most interested in? In short, don't miss it.
