With the release of WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 2, several new gameplay modes and dungeons have been added, such as Tempest Keep and Serpentshrine Cavern.
However, if you only have limited playtime each week, or if you're a returning player, you might find yourself unable to experience these new dungeons due to insufficient gear. Acquiring good gear is usually quite challenging and time-consuming.
Don't worry, this guide will help you acquire a set of gear sufficient to challenge the new dungeons in the shortest amount of time, quickly catching up with other players and allowing you to experience the latest dungeons and gameplay.
Acquiring PvP Gear
For those seeking speed, starting with WoW BCC Classic Anniversary PvP gear is the smartest choice.
Along with Phase 2 release, a batch of newly upgraded PvP gear has also been released, with stats comparable to gear dropped in Tier 4 10-man Karrazhan Raid. This batch includes belts, boots, bracers, necklaces, and rings, covering the main character slots. While these items don't have the same stats as dungeon drops, their overall strength is sufficient for entering most regular raids, so there's no need to worry.
So, how do you acquire these items? In BCC Anniversary, Honor is an exclusive item earned through PvP gameplay, which can be directly exchanged for the aforementioned PvP gear.
Before Phase 2 officially launched, Blizzard significantly increased the drop rate of Honor. Previously, Honor points required multiple participations in large battlegrounds to accumulate; now, they can be easily and quickly obtained through activities like Eye of the Storm.
Therefore, as long as you consistently participate in and win battlegrounds, you can quickly accumulate Honor and purchase multiple pieces of PvP gear.
Of course, for those with limited time, one thing is particularly important to note: players aren't guaranteed victory in battlegrounds - sometimes you'll suffer losses and receive very few Honors. Therefore, you can utilize the convenient social features to join high-win-rate teams or team up with friends skilled in PvP to increase your chances of winning.
Acquiring Gold
Once you have a set of gear suitable for dungeons, you'll also need TBC Anniversary Gold, which can be used to exchange for various potions and repair equipment.
However, many players have always focused solely on PvE or PvP, indulging in the thrill of fighting bosses or other players, without knowing how to acquire gold, let alone a large amount in a short time.
My most recommended way to quickly acquire gold is by completing daily quests. Specifically, BCC Classic Phase 2 introduced two new factions: Ogri'la in Blade's Edge Mountains - a group of ogres who have shed their savage nature - and Sha'tar Skyguard in Terokkar Forest - a Sha'tar expeditionary force dedicated to eliminating aerial threats.
Currently, each offers a large number of rewarding daily quests. These quests are engaging, require very little time (only about half an hour per day), and provide a consistent and substantial gold reward upon completion.
Based on estimates, simply completing these two daily quests could potentially yield over 2500 gold per month - a crucial and rapid way for players who can only play a few hours per week to acquire gold. This gold can be used not only to obtain potions and items needed for dungeons but also to acquire equipment from other players or NPCs.
Furthermore, Phase 2 daily quests offer additional surprises. While completing these two Factions daily quests, you'll have the chance to obtain extremely rare rewards that may be unavailable through other means. For example, Sha'tar Skyguard will give you a mount called Nether Ray - you might never get it without doing these daily quests.

Acquiring Dungeon Gear
Now that you have a decent set of gear and your bags are full of potions, you can start farming dungeon gear.
Good news is that WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 2 has optimized the dungeon drop mechanism. Previously, Tier 4 25-man raid bosses would only drop one decent piece of gear, leading to fierce competition among 25 players. In Phase 2, Blizzard has significantly increased the loot drop rate in older raids. For example, in Gruul's Lair and Magtheridon's Lair, each boss now has a chance to drop an extra rare item.
Furthermore, some skilled players focus on building builds specifically for the highest difficulty Phase 2 raids, often opting for an efficiency-first approach - only fighting bosses that drop specific high-tier gear, such as Dragonspine Trophy, coveted by melee classes, while ignoring other loot.
This means less competitive pressure; you might not face any competition for the gear you want.
The same logic applies to the 10-man beginner raid, Karrazhan Raid. These players will farm this raid relentlessly for specific high-tier gear. However, their focus is so specific that they largely ignore other drops.
If your character class happens to avoid the class required for the rarest gear dropped in these dungeons, you'll find there's no gear conflict between you and other high-level players. Simply join these high-level raids when they're farming specific gear, and all the gear they discard will be yours.
This is my method for quickly gathering gear and building a build in WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 2. It's perfect for players who only have a small amount of time to play each week, those who haven't played BCC Anniversary in a while, returning players, or even complete beginners.
