New to Torchlight Infinite Season 9, still building your character, and desperate to farm Flame Elementium?
Farming FE in Timemark 7 is definitely one of the best ways to farm FE. Below are two simple strategies that are especially useful early in the season and can be used even in Timemark 8 with minor modifications.
Strategy 1: Farm Eterna Boss Quickly
The key to this strategy is to populate the map with boss-type enemies, as they can drop valuable items like Embers, Reverbs, and other crafting materials. It’s also highly efficient and can be used without high-level equipment.
After defeating Traveler in Timemark 7, two key nodes will be unlocked, giving you a 25% chance of farming four bosses in the map without a compass. At this point, you need to set up the Eterna tree and ensure it’s generating, so you can encounter more Eternal monsters.
In addition, you should invest in God of War tree, which will allow you to navigate the map faster and farm monsters more efficiently.
In the Commodities tree, choose nodes related to Ember to increase your yield. If you haven’t unlocked T7 Traveler yet, click on the Starshards node first to speed up your progress.
Look for simple, linear maps. Wall of Sorrows in Thunder Waste area is a good one; you can reach every part of the map without missing any bosses.
You can also try Deniman Village in Glacial Abyss area. Avoid complex maps unless there’s a bounty involved, then skip the league mechanic (tower sequences); it’s generally not worth the time.
Remember, the monsters you’re looking for have green dots on them; these are Eternal creatures. Some of these can become bosses (like Blade of Eterna), and sometimes you can encounter two bosses in a single map.
Common loot items include:
- Precious and Matchless Embers
- Reverberations
- Pages of Eterna
- Solidified Tears
- Boss Candles
All of these can be sold to other players for Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium, though the price depends on supply and demand at the time.
At Timemark 8, if you want to enhance this strategy, you can add nodes (such as Gigantism) to increase boss drops, or add Snowpaper nodes to increase boss rewards. However, avoid nodes that upgrade Reverberation, as the upgraded Reverberation will not sell for a high price and will be worthless.
Strategy 2: Pirates And Starshards
The second strategy is simpler. Use God of War buff to quickly run through the map and participate in Pirate Event at the end of the map. The goal is to collect Starshards and fight against T7 Watchers.
Key points to keep in mind when playing the passive tree:
- Ensure pirates spawn
- Increase your chance of receiving boss invitations from pirate activities
- Boost star fragment drops in the commodities tree
- Use God of War to speed things up
Also, when doing pirate activities, be sure to check if there’s a Whisper of Bosses option. If not, choose Whisper of Wealth. Sometimes, when a boss module spawns in a pirate activity, it will automatically complete, allowing you to claim the rewards directly.
It’s highly recommended to farm Watchers in T7-2. Every time you defeat one, you’ll definitely get two Timemark 8 Beacons (worth 3-5 Flame Elements each), a Realm Lord Token, and possibly a Precision Gem and Flame Elements.
In addition, pirates can also provide Memory Fragments and other items, such as Memory Scraps (which can be sold in bulk), Epic Memory Threads, Boss Invitations (worth 15-18 FE each), and occasionally, Intelligence Bureau memories.
If you want to continue this strategy in Timemark 8, you can increase loot by clicking on chest nodes and optimize it by adding Sandlord spawn points to the map. You can even combine it with the Eterna monster farming strategy to earn more from Embers and boss drops.
Final Tips
For speed, players should definitely farm monsters in Timemark 7-0. Avoid going to 71 or 72 unless you’re fighting Watchers.
Only use the league mechanic if the game has bounties.
Save Watchers fight for 7-2 difficulty, where the loot is better and more consistent.
Players can sell their loot at Trade House for FE.
In short, both methods are great for accumulating Flame Elementium early in the season. As your characters become stronger, you can upgrade your strategy and continue earning money in Timemark 8 and beyond. Give it a try based on your situation!
